The Duncannon Appalachian Trail Community is partnering with Lindgren Craft Brewery to hold our 1st annual “First Day Hike” to Hawk Rock to ring in 2026!

When: Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Noon. Hike will happen rain (snow) or shine!!

Where: 5 N. Market St. Duncannon, PA 17020. Meet outside Lindgren Brewery.

What: Hike Hawk Rock!

Plan: Depart Lindgren for a walk through lower Duncannon and the little Boston neighborhood to parking lot at the Duncannon Watershed (where recycling happens every 2nd Saturday thanks to local Boy Scouts and their families.) Hike up to the Hawk Rock overlook and back down to return to Duncannon.

After the hike, the Lindgren Brewery bar will be open to warm up and purchase drinks until 3:00pm (for hike attendees only!) Wear weather appropriate clothes and shoes and bring a snack. (The Lindgren’s kitchen will NOT be open).

If you can’t join us on New Year’s Day, keep an eye out for “Brews and Views” hike events we’re planning for Spring and Fall in 2026.
