DOC Buddy Boy Winery Hike

On Sat., July 11th the Duncannon Outdoor Club (DOC) will be hiking from Rt. 850 Appalachian Trail Head to Buddy Boy Winery on an average paced 3.3 mile hike over the mountain on moderate to easy terrain. Pack a lunch and enjoy food and some wine tasting at the conclusion of the hike. Bring some money if you plan on buying wine. Meet at Buddy Boy’s parking field on left at 9:30 am. Look for a green Ford Explorer. The address is 111 Barnett Dr., Duncannon, PA 17020. Call 395-2462 or email dtakach@duncannonatc.org to register.

John Whitney from Gallery@Second has donated this awesome 18″x34″ painting of Duncannon (valued at $400) to the Duncannon Appalachian Trail Community (DATC) so it can be raffled off to one extremely lucky winner. Be sure to stop by the 2015 Duncannon Appalachian Trail Festival for your free ticket and then buy a lot more tickets to increase your chances of winning. All proceeds help fund projects related to Duncannon and the Appalachian Trail. See you at the festival this Saturday!
