2023 Duncannon Appalachian Trail Festival

Duncannon became an official Appalachian Trail Community in 2012 and we’re eager to share the pride and enthusiasm of being in the middle of a national treasure. Join us on Saturday, June 17th from 10 to 4 on High Street between Cumberland and Ann streets to celebrate the Appalachian Trail with live entertainment, food trucks, wildlife presentations, crafts for kids, hiking clubs, and arts & crafts vendors.

We are busy lining up acts for this year’s festival. Until we have them signed up, here are a few highlights of our 2022 festival:

ENTERTAINERS & EDUCATORS

  • Brian McPherson – an avid hiker, trail troubadour, and promoter of the Appalachian Trail who entertains fellow hikers with original songs and folk tunes
  • Dr. Nyce – a keyboardist playing jazz, pop, rock, blues, folk, classical, contemporary, and more
  • Kristie Smith – a Perry County native who can play anything with strings, her show will be semi-interactive, with a few extra instruments on hand, open for anyone to jump in and play if they know the song. It should be fun!
