Seasons Greetings From the ATC

Appalachian Trail Conservancy Greeting Card

The card came addressed to me but it belongs to each and every one of you who has volunteered your time and effort to help promote, protect and preserve Duncannon’s outdoor recreational resources for future generations.

At this joyous time of year, we are grateful for your support and commitment to the Appalachian Trail.  We wish you the best this holiday season and all the happiness in the new year.

Warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday season.  Many, many thanks for all you do for the A.T. Community of Duncannon and the A.T.  You are so very much appreciated!

Signed by: Heather, Karen, Bob, Jon, Nicole, Marian, Kelly and Michele.

Thanks for everything and have a happy holiday.

DATC Booth at Ned Smith Nature and Arts Festival a Success

On Saturday, July 27th we set up our Duncannon Appalachian Trail Community (DATC) booth at the Ned Smith Nature and Arts Festival in Millersburg and it was a great success.  Our free giveaways attracted many children and their parents. Kids would line up for our Appalachian Trail hand-stamps and temporary bug tattoos while we talked to their parents about Duncannon, the Appalachian Trail, Duncannon Outdoor Club hiking opportunities, ticks and invasive species such as the Wooly Adelgid.

2013 DATC Festival Photos

DATC Festival Collage

It’s been a while since our June 1st, 2013 Duncannon Appalachian Trail Community Festival so we’re refreshing your memory with some of Dan Innamorato’s candid images from the event.  Dan was kind enough to share his great pictures of the 2nd annual DATC Festival with us so be sure to check his photos to see if you or your friends are in them or just take a look around Duncannon and spot other people showing their community spirit.

If you’re not in any of the photos, be sure to come out next year and join us in the month of June for another fun day at the Duncannon ATC Festival.  Photos follow below:
